Ashted Lock is served directly from the middle ring road (Dartmouth Middleway), with an estate road leading to grouped parking bays, set within fully landscaped grounds. Car parking provision on site is supplemented by further private parking facilities in the immediate vicinity. The Digbeth Branch Canal is a feature of the Science Park, and landscaping works have extended to the full restoration of the site's towpath frontage. This has included refurbishment of an original towpath bridge and the creation of a water feature which separates the two buildings of Ashted Lock. The two and three storey buildings have structural steel frames with full fire protection. Roofs consists of coated galvanised steel sheeting with fibre glass quilt and reinforced vapour check. Finishes to the service cores and lobbies include carpet tiled floors to public areas and ceramic tiled floors and walls to toilets. Comfort Conditioning - A comfortable working environment is maintained within office areas by a ceiling mounted ventilation and heating/ cooling system. Each building has its own boiler and chiller plant. Toilet and reception areas are provided with wall radiators and fan convector heaters with a hot water supply provided to the toilets.
