With its crisp architectural design and tranquil courtyard setting, Holt Court is an integral part of Aston Science Park with access from Jennens Road and Woodcock Street. The two and three-storey buildings have structural steel frames with full fire protection. Roofs consist of coated, galvanised steel sheeting with fibreglass quilt and reinforced vapour check.

Wall cladding includes white powder coated aluminium clad and insulated sandwich panels incorporating double-glazed units with solar-tinted outer panels. Individual units have their own front entrance foyer with male, female and disabled toilet facilities. To the rear of each unit is an eight person passenger lift shared with the adjacent units.

Units in multiple occupation have a swipe card access control system, with remote front door operation via an intercom connected to internal reception areas. Finishes to foyers, toilets and lobbies include carpet tile floors to public areas and vinyl floor and ceramic tile walls to toilet accommodation.

Office areas are carpeted, with suspended ceilings and emulsion finishes to internal plastered, blockwork walls. Office lighting is provided by recessed fluorescent fitting to give a lighting level of 500 lux with diffusers to minimise glare. Power within each unit is provided via skirting trunking with socket outlets at approximately 2m intervals, including separate compartments for data cabling.

Each building is provided with a fire alarm system including emergency lighting to escape routes, providing a common termination for individual tenant fire detection equipment. Each building is heated by gas-fired boiler with perimeter radiators and sill panels in all units, and radiators and fan convector units in toilet and foyer areas.

To provide adequate air changes to open office areas, each floor is provided with background ventilation via ceiling grills, which can be repositioned to suit internal office fitting out requirements.
