A brand new seminar programme created to raise awareness and provide information on finance has been launched in Birmingham.

The programme, which is funded by A Route to Investment (R2i), Advantage West Midlands and ERDF, has been put together by Aston Science Park.  The Park, which already runs the hugely successful “Seminars for Success” programme, is aiming the new programme at owner managers and senior executives, who want to make sense of finance options, bringing together tailored workshops and practical assistance from leading experts from organisations such as; Grant Thornton, Martineau Johnson and Lloyds TSB. 

The first event in the series entitled “Fuelling Future Growth & Learning from the Investors” attracted over one hundred attendees who had the opportunity to meet financiers and other businesses, as well as hearing from speakers who discussed issues such as raising finance, grants and how to approach the bank.  Following the event over eighty percent of attendees said they were interested in raising finance to help them grow and develop, a promising sign for the region’s economy.

I am delighted that so many attendees responded positively to the advice and assistance offered and that so many are interested in raising finance to push their businesses forward
