Regional body invites nominations for outstanding technology companies in 2006 awards

The ICT Cluster (Information and Communications Technology), an initiative led by Advantage West Midlands, is seeking regional entries to its annual awards. 

The awards are being extended to over 3,000 SMEs in the West Midlands within the strong and developing ICT sector. According to statistics gathered by the ICT Cluster in 2004/05, the highest concentrations of ICT companies are found in Coventry and Warwickshire (647) and Staffordshire (500), with many based in the world-leading University science parks.

The free to enter awards recognise top SME information and communications technology companies for outstanding achievements to the industry, with the overall regional champion being awarded £2,000. The winners will be announced during the West Midlands ICT Cluster Annual Conference on 21st November 2006, which is being held at the National Motor Cycle Museum.
Entries are invited for the following six categories:

  • Most Innovative Product
  • Best Value Public Sector Project
  • Best Public Sector Procurer
  • Most Value Added Private Sector Project
  • Best Use of Skills Training
  • Best International Trader

Nominations must be submitted by 29 September 2006
