Making Asbestos Technology Pay

Experts on asbestos compliance discussed the most pressing asbestos management issues prevalent today, at a seminar held at Aston Science Park, Birmingham.   

Presentations included an update on asbestos by the Health and Safety Executive, a financial perspective by PricewaterhouseCoopers and a regulatory perspective by Pinsent Masons.  The seminar concluded with a presentation by leading industry experts Blue Datum, on how technology can facilitate the asbestos compliance issue efficiently.

The event attracted leading figures from the industry including; local authorities, NHS trusts and large commercial organisations.

Matthew Hidderley, Business Development Executive at Aston Science Park said; “The event provided an excellent platform for delegates to learn from some of the leading experts involved with asbestos”.

Mohammed Zulfiquar, Blue Datum Chief Executive Officer said; “It is great that Birmingham is leading the way forward with the asbestos compliance using innovative technologies”. 

He also concluded that the key messages from all of the experts were unanimous; Asbestos is still a major issue and will be around for another 20 years, however, the effective application of technology can remove the difficulties associated with asbestos management.
