| MARKETING - ITS MAGIC! |
|
April 04, 2007 It might be a mystery to some. But “Marketing Magic” is a valuable business tool – as magician Christopher Congreave demonstrated to 120 delegates from the SME sector who attended a Birmingham seminar to discover the secrets of marketing and PR professionals. Christopher (right), pictured here with organiser Matthew Hidderley, set the scene for Aston Science Park’s latest business seminar, which was addressed by guest speakers Mark Linton, director, Corkscrew Events; Ian Weatherhogg, technical director, Sandford Technology; Merisha Stevenson, director, Enhanced Consulting and John Lamb, Press & PR Manager, Birmingham Chamber of Commerce. Matthew, who organised the “Marketing Magic” seminar on behalf of Aston Science Park’s business development team, said: “The event turned out to be one of the most popular we have held, having been heavily over-subscribed.” While Mark Linton reviewed the effectiveness of networking as part of the marketing mix, Ian Weatherhogg discussed the impact of new-age digital marketing, leaving New Style Radio broadcaster Merisha Stevenson and Birmingham Press Club chairman John Lamb to argue the merits of public relations and media relations. The seminars are held in association with Aston University, KBC Peel Hunt, Parker Business Development, The Royal Bank of Scotland, Sungard Availability Services, the West Midlands ICT Hub and The Wilkes Partnership.
