Mediascope enhance Birmingham's presence at MIPIM

For the third year running, Mediascope have played a significant role in bolstering Birmingham's presence at Mipim; the largest property & development show in Europe. Held over four days during early March, in Cannes, the show provides the city with a platform to promote an anticipated £17 billion of planned major development over the next 10 years.

In showcasing this development, Mediascope have produced a suite of dynamic multimedia tools, headed by an innovative and engaging video; which at four minutes long, takes the viewer on an exciting journey through the ever-changing landscape and culture of Birmingham including the Aston Science Park campus.

The video was conceived, filmed and edited within a three week period, incorporating all new footage of the city's flagship developments such as the Bullring, Selfridges and Brindley Place, along with tantalising glimpses of its future, such as Snowhill, Masshouse and University Hospital.

In support of this superb video, Mediascope have created an interactive 'touchscreen' presentation which will provide visitors to the 'Team Birmingham' stand at Mipim, with all they need to know about the imaginative plans to make Birmingham a world-class city of the future. There is also a dedicated website - www.birminghammipim.co.uk - designed, built and hosted by Mediascope, where real-time information is available, during and after the event in Cannes.

Alongside these high-profile multimedia tools, the company have also produced a 44-page colour brochure, detailing the city's vision of the future; e-invitations, screensavers and even an interactive quiz, which will form part of 'Team Birmingham' immensely popular 'Balti on the Beach' evening during the event.

All in all, it's an impressive list of tools and highlights the quality of product that Mediascope continues to produce on behalf of the city. It's a role that the company is extremely proud of fulfilling year on year, as Managing Director, Victor Wright explains: ”As a Birmingham business, we are immensely proud to sponsor the city at Mipim for the third year running. Creating this dynamic multimedia package will show the world what Birmingham is all about, now and for the future. We hope that the video in particular, takes people's breath away because there is so much to get excited about in this city.”

Clive Dutton, Director Planning and Regeneration, Birmingham City Council, added: "Birmingham City Council is always keen to support its home grown industries. The creative sector is vital to a young and vibrant city, proving one of its most active sectors.  Birmingham @ MIPIM has for several years been supported by Mediascope based at Aston Science Park. Their creativity and dynamic approach to the world property market MIPIM, has seen them develop not only touch screens highlighting up to 25 different projects but has seen the creation of website and various audio visual materials.

To this end Mediascope have created a promotional film that will be premiered at MIPIM. This has been an excellent production with all new filming. I expect there to be great demand to access this film to promote the city by many of our existing and relocating businesses as it clearly shows the city off to its best."
