		Wallace Brown, Head of Commercial, HSBC Bank plc Wallace is Head of Commercial at HSBC Bank in Birmingham. He has responsibility for a team of 12 managers dealing with clients in the SME sector, ranging in size from turnover levels of £500,000 to £25m. Wallace has a very broad experience within commercial banking having worked for HSBC Bank for 21 years in a variety of roles.
		Patrick Palmer, Head of Access to Finance (Advantage West Midlands) Patrick is Head of Access to Finance at Advantage West Midlands. He has responsibility within AWM for identifying barriers businesses meet in seeking finance and developing initiatives to address these. Patrick previously worked in financial management and advisory roles, firstly with Price Waterhouse, then as Group Finance Director in two listed companies and subsequently on a self employed basis.
		Paul Heaven, Director, Blue Sky Corporate Finance Paul Heaven is a Chartered Accountant with more than 25 years senior management experience in the technology and corporate finance markets. Since 1998, Paul has owned/managed Blue Sky Corporate Finance Ltd, a fast growing independent consultancy practice assisting owner/managers in the SME sector, to make acquisitions, sell their company or to raise finance for growth.

		Steve Walker, Chief Executive, ART (Aston Reinvestment Trust Steve is Chief Executive of ART, the pioneering local community development finance institution (CDFI). This followed a banking career of over 29 years dedicated to the provision of finance and advice to small businesses. Steve has extensive practical experience of the challenges faced by SMEs in acquiring grant, loan and equity support and is a member of the West Midlands Regional Finance Forum.
		Mark Payton, Fund Principal, Mercia Fund Mark is the fund principal for the Mercia Technology Seed Fund. Mark has a PhD from King's College and an MBA from Warwick Business School. Prior to joining the fund, Mark was a research fellow at University of Oxford and was VP Corporate Development at Oxxon Therapeutics Inc. Mark benefits from in excess of 15 years experience from the commercialisation of life science opportunities in the biotech, niche pharma, medtech and diagnostics fields.
